Everything You Need to Know

Planning a function can be complex. Here are the most common questions our clients ask during the booking process.

For weddings and large functions we recommend two to three months. Smaller house functions can often be arranged within a week, subject to date availability.

Weddings

Wedding catering FAQs

How much does wedding catering cost per plate in Bangalore?

For a pure vegetarian wedding in Bengaluru we typically work between ₹350 and ₹650 per plate for a traditional muhurtham banana-leaf meal, and ₹550 to ₹1,200 per plate for a reception buffet with live counters and desserts. The final rate depends on guest count, menu length and venue location.

Do you provide banana leaf service for weddings?

Yes. Traditional South Indian muhurtham meals are served on fresh banana leaves in the correct order, with uniformed serving staff who follow community-specific rituals for Kannadiga, Tamil, Telugu and Marwadi families.

Can you cater a wedding for 2,000 or more guests?

Yes. We cook on site for 50 to 5,000 guests. Weddings above 1,000 guests are planned with multiple cooking lines, separate serving teams for the mandap and dining hall, and staggered batch cooking so food reaches every guest hot.

How far in advance should we book wedding catering?

Book 45 to 60 days ahead for peak muhurtham dates, and at least 20 days ahead for other dates. Menu tasting and final guest count are usually locked 7 to 10 days before the event.

Do you offer satvik or Jain wedding menus?

Yes. Satvik (no onion, no garlic) and Jain menus are cooked in separate vessels by a separate team, with dedicated serving spoons to avoid any mixing.

Do you cover the whole of Bengaluru for weddings?

We cater across Bengaluru including Yelahanka, RT Nagar, Kalyan Nagar, Nagavara, Hebbal, Sahakarnagar, Thanisandra and Manyata Tech Park. Call or WhatsApp +91 9661650666 to confirm your venue.

Birthdays

Birthday party catering FAQs

How much does birthday party catering cost in Bangalore?

Birthday catering usually runs ₹250 to ₹450 per plate for a snacks-and-chaat spread and ₹400 to ₹700 per plate for a full vegetarian meal with dessert counters. Small home parties of 25 to 50 guests are quoted as a package.

Do you cater small birthday parties at home?

Yes. We cater home birthdays from 25 guests upwards, cooking on site or delivering hot in insulated containers with serving staff, chafing dishes and disposables.

Do you have a separate kids' menu for birthdays?

Yes. Kids' menus include mini idli, pasta, cheese sandwiches, French fries, veg nuggets, mocktails and an ice-cream or chocolate fountain counter, alongside an adult menu.

Can you set up live counters for a birthday party?

Yes. Popular picks are chaat, pav bhaji, pasta, dosa, mocktail and ice-cream counters, each staffed by a dedicated chef through the party.

How many days ahead should we book a birthday party?

Two weeks is comfortable for weekend dates. Smaller home parties can often be arranged with 4 to 5 days' notice depending on the calendar.

House functions

Housewarming & house function FAQs

Do you cater gruhapravesham and housewarming functions?

Yes. We cater gruhapravesham, satyanarayana pooja, naming ceremonies and upanayanam at homes and apartment clubhouses, cooking fresh on site from early morning so the pooja timings are met.

How much does housewarming catering cost per plate?

A traditional housewarming meal is typically ₹300 to ₹550 per plate depending on the number of sweets, palya and rice varieties. Morning tiffin plus lunch packages are quoted together.

Can you cook satvik food without onion and garlic for a pooja?

Yes. Pooja and homa meals are cooked strictly satvik — no onion, no garlic — in separate vessels, and naivedyam can be prepared first for the ritual.

Do you cook inside apartments or bring food ready-made?

Both. Where the clubhouse or terrace allows cooking we set up on site; where it does not, food is cooked at our Nagavara kitchen and served hot with chafing dishes and staff.

What is the minimum guest count for a house function?

We cater house functions from 50 guests upwards, including serving staff, vessels, banana leaves and clean-up.
