Wedding Catering

A wedding is the one function where the food is remembered for years and where almost every planning decision — guest count, venue, muhurtham time, menu — feeds back into the kitchen. This pillar collects our working guides on wedding catering in Bengaluru: costing, quantities, menu structure, live counters, and the running order of a wedding day. Everything here comes from functions we have actually cooked for, with the numbers we actually quote.

Questions

Wedding Catering: common questions

How much does wedding catering cost per plate in Bangalore?
A pure vegetarian wedding plate in Bengaluru typically runs ₹350–₹550 for a standard muhurtham meal, ₹550–₹850 for a reception buffet with two or three live counters, and ₹900 and above for premium multi-cuisine spreads. Guest count, venue distance and menu length move the number more than anything else.
How many guests should we cater for?
Cater for 100% of confirmed guests for a seated muhurtham meal, and roughly 85–90% of the invited list for a reception buffet, where attendance is always lower than invitations. We plan a 5% buffer on top of that as standard.
How far in advance should wedding catering be booked?
Two to three months for a wedding date, and longer for peak muhurtham dates between November and February when good cooks and vessels are committed early.
